It's a BOY!

Last Monday Derek and I got to go to the doctor and enjoy an ultra sound. Talk about an awesome experience, the more that happens with little bean the more real it is feeling. But as Derek says Pinterest and Blogs put too many lofty ideas into my head... it probably does but I always enjoy doing something I find from the net. So a few weeks prior to the ultra sound I asked Derek if we could do a Gender-Reveal party, he said it would be fun if we had family here but none of our friends would really care... I beg to differ. So since he shot that idea down I decided I still wanted to do something memorable to find out the gender of bean. So the day before I finally decided what I wanted to do, we would go to the ultra sound and ask the tech to write down the gender and put it in envelope and we would swing by our friends Laura and Jordan and they would then fill a box with balloons and then come over and we would open the box and find out what bean's gender was, while Laura took pictures. It ended up working out perfectly, we had a blast and I love the pictures that Laura had taken for us. So with much further adiu I shall introduce you to baby Glazier.
side view... isn't he so cute!
and his tiny lil foot.
And the excitement on my husbands face is priceless!
and for those who love belly shots... I feel like it came out of nowhere.
so I hope that has given you a quick lil update on what is going on in the lives of the glaziers three.

The rhythm of my heart.

Yesterday was my first doctors appointment and it was probably the most amazing moment in my life. I have been carrying around bump for 17 weeks now but it has never truly felt real until yesterday when we got to hear the heartbeat. It was the most surreal moment in my life to hear those little flutters, we are officially having a baby and truly feels amazing!

We scheduled our ultrasound for two more weeks so we will be able to find out the gender. I am super tempted to have a gender party... but we'll see. Funny story, I want a girl and Derek wants a boy, but as we were driving home from the appointment he said, "it is going to be so funny to hear the gender of the baby". I responded with "why", and he stated, "well, we both have prepared for a girl if he says boy neither of us is going to know what to do, we'll be awestruck". And it's so true although he wants a boy, I think as we have prepared to have kids we both have always talked about our little girl, it was a fact we were going to have a girl. Now that we really are pregnant it is going to be interesting to find out if we will be welcoming a lil lady or lil lad.
